Although the official name is Robert Burdett Photography, it wouldn't exist without Melissa Burdett. An accomplished photographer in her own right, Melissa's talents complement Robert's to ensure an excellent range of imagery for their clients.
Professional photographers since 1996, Robert and Melissa both hold journalism degrees from Ball State University, where Robert earned the title Photographer of the Year. In addition, Robert holds a masters degree in Education from Florida Gulf Coast University and has been teaching photography and journalism since 2002.
Robert has 25 years experience as a photographer, shooting professionally for Gannett News, Reuters International , the Associated Press and a number of freelance clients, with work published in numerous publications including USA Today.
Robert is a member of Nikon Professional Services, Wedding & Portrait Photographers International, and the National Press Photographers Association. In 1997, Robert won a scholarship from the Fort Wayne News-Sentinel to attend the renowned documentary photography workshop, The Missouri Photo Workshop, where he was taught by industry professionals, including National Geographic photographers and editors.
